Title : Trusts and Equity (Foundation Studies in Law Series)
Author : Richard Edwards
Rating : 4 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Straightforward and easy to read
This is one of best textbooks on trusts and equity that I have found. Designed specifically for postgradute and first time law students, it is accessible and uncomplicated. The case law it includes is relevant and very up to date. Perhaps a little too uncritical with regards to cases, and any serious student will need to supplement it with casebooks and further reading, but it is an excellent book for anybody struggling to get to grips with trusts. It gives a good, basic background on any equity topic. If only all law textbooks were as readable as this!

Title : Trusts (Nutshell S.)
Author : Angela Sydenham
Rating : 3 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Good, but needs updating due to the Third Party Rights Act
The Nutshell books are good revision aids, but it is not helpful when they do not keep up with the current position regarding the law.
The introduction of the Third Party Contract Rights Act has fundamental implications on this area of law. If it is being taught and examined upon, then the publisher needs to update this book.

Title : The Law of Trusts (Butterworths Core Texts S.)
Author : James Penner
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Excellent analysis and very useful
This is a clear and informative guide to the law of trusts that is written in a far more accessible style than most trusts textbooks.
The night before my Equity exam at university, I glanced through this book (in quite a state of desperation!) and found clear, concise explanations to several concepts I had been unable to fathom all year. For a full explanation of the law, you may wish to turn to a weightier tome, but if you want to understand the key principles of trusts at degree level and have a reasonably short time to do it in, this probably your best option - it has just about the right level of detail to help you get to grips with stuff you will hopefully have time to read in more detail later...
Penner's style makes the book both straightforward and interesting (not an easy task when dealing with this area of the law!) and puts this text in the realms of the very, very useful.

Title : Principles of Equity and the Law of Trusts (Principles of Law S.)
Author : Alastair Hudson
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : our lives, as law students, has been made easier
As a Greek student whose native language is not English, I found myself pleased to be reading such a book. Equity and trusts is not an easy subject;nevertheless, this book is very easily understood. Its structure is clear with all the important points sufficiently highlighted to the reader. It is not a law textbook that just sets out the law. It includes useful commentary, without yet going into futile and long discussions. I would really recommend this book to every law student. It is a guarantee of success in this subject of law.
