Information about advice on contesting wills online
Making a will is something that, because of the reason why we need to do it, is something that is easily put off - yet can lead to huge problems with probate if you don't write one in time.
Writing a last will and testament (to use the proper phrase for it) isn't as complicated as it used to be, and there are now many places online why you can write a legal DIY one!
Title : The Law of Trusts (Butterworths Core Texts S.) Author : J.E. Penner Rating : 5 Stars out of 5. Summary : Excellent bird's eye view of the law of trusts
Reading Penner is like reading a storybook. At some points, the reader might even forget that he/she is reading something that has heavy academic weight. Penner presents his materials in a breezy, easy to understand manner to those who are newcomers to the law of trust. This book is indispensible for anyone wishing to do well in the trusts exams, so get one before you regret it.
Title : A Step-by-step Guide to Wills and Probate Author : A.K. Biggs Rating : 4 Stars out of 5. Summary : all the basics you need to knwo..
this is a good all round guide to drafting wills and dealing with the difficult task of what to do after a death in terms of winding up an estate. It doesn't go into very complex will drafting but in that instance as the book suggests you would really need to get a solicitor involved. However, it does allow you to draft most types of wills and certainly explains the proceedure following death in a clear and concise manner.
Title : Tolley's Pension Fund Trustee Handbook Author : Roger Self Rating : 3 Stars out of 5. Summary : The standard book for the PMI certificate - needs an update
Tolley's Pension Fund Trustee Handbook is just one of the many books written and edited by Roger Self on the subject of pensions. It is specially geared towards the lay trustee wanting to acquire more expertise in this ever more complicated area . For this purpose, it remains the absolute standard and none of its completitors get anywhere near in terms of clarity. However, the book badly needs an up-date and this might be used as an occasion to broaden the scope of the book to make more useful in general.
Title : Williams on Wills: Supplement Author : R.F.D. Barlow Rating : 5 Stars out of 5. Summary : The best book of its kind
I cannot recommend this book too highly. It combines a full account of the law relating to wills with a volume of precedents covering virtually every common situation.
Title : The Law of Trusts Author : John G. Riddall Rating : 3 Stars out of 5. Summary : Good introduction guide to Trust Law
Riddall's Trust Law is one of the simplest guide to the the subject. The words are clear, the format is structured and organized. I would recommend students of Trust Law to buy this book. However, his book is quite out-dated since the latest edition is published in 1996. Also, it lacks sufficient information of family home issues and proprietary estoppel.
Title : Succession: The Law of Wills and Estates (Cracknell's Statutes S.) Author : Rating : 5 Stars out of 5. Summary : Fantastic easy to read
This book is ideal for those doing a law degree. It provides easy to understand statutes which have been laid out very clear.
Title : Last Will and Testament Kit Author : Rating : 4 Stars out of 5. Summary : Simple to Use
The pack arrives with a CD and a booklet on what is required. I found the booklet useful in determining what I needed to do and on the CD are all the forms that are required to make up your will. I should imagine the size of your estate will determine how comlex your will could be. For me this will do the job without the professional fees that could be incurred.
