Information about beneficiary contesting will online

Making a will is something that, because of the reason why we need to do it, is something that is easily put off - yet can lead to huge problems with probate if you don't write one in time.

Writing a last will and testament (to use the proper phrase for it) isn't as complicated as it used to be, and there are now many places online why you can write a legal DIY one!

Title : French Property and Inheritance Law: Principles and Practice
Author : Henry Dyson
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Excellent reference source

My remarks refer to the second edition, which I recently found in our local library. This is a well-written book (unfortunately marred by some spelling errors and some poor editing). It gives a very eloquent insight into French property law and succession law while sticking to practical matters and avoiding unnecessary theory. The author's wife is French and she is credited with helping the author gain some of his insights. I particularly enjoyed the chapter on the notaires, but this chapter alone made me very wary of dealing in French property. Many foreigners have done so and do not seem to have much trouble, but it is well to be aware of all the snags that can arise. Caveat emptor is the golden rule, but this book will be indispensable for anybody taken on the daunting task of buying a gite or other type of property in France.

Title : How to Probate an Estate in Florida: With Forms
Author :
Rating : 4 Stars out of 5.
Summary : A good, simple introduction to Florida probate options

This is a good simple overview of Florida probate law, with useful checklists to make sure you do not overlook the obvious. You can find much of the information in the Florida statutes, but this is much more readable and it also coordinates and organizes its information better. It is more of an outline than a treatise, but if you need a treatise you need a lawyer, not this book. It serves the purpose for which it was designed well.

Title : The Self-help Guide to Making Your Will
Author : Gordon Bowley
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : An excellent guide to Making Your Will

I recently bought this book and have found it extremly helpful. It is crammed with information and useful advice and has easy to follow specimen wills and forms. It is full of surprising facts and has a large section on inheritence tax saving. Very good value. The compehensive index makes it easy to use. Deserves a place on every family's bookshelf.Thoroughly rcommended!

Title : The Complete Book of Trusts
Author : Martin Shenkman
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Excellent!!!

The Cmplete Book of Trusts is an excellent reference for general knowledge about a very cmplex subject! I highly recommend this book to anyone with a need to know. This author has managed to take the "legal" language and break it down into understandable English!

Title : Planning Your Estate with Wills, Probate and Taxes
Author : Denis Clifford
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Number one in clarity and for basic information

Before you go to a lawyer, read this book! It will save you time - giving you information to be able to ask the most pertinent and specific questions - and therefore save you money!

Title : The Law of Trusts and Equitable Obligations
Author : Robert A. Pearce
Rating : 1 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Obtuse, baffling, badly written and riddled with typos

A disaster of a text book which makes an already difficult subject even more impenetrable.

Key cases are badly, yet long-windedly explained, the index is hopeless, there's no glossary, and typos confusing tranferee and tranferor abound. This book required very close editing and proof reading and despite being in its third edition, shows no evidence of having had such attention.

Run a million miles from this steaming pile of ordure. If it's you're assigned text, bad luck. refer to it to see which areas you're supposed to be covering and read another text book.

Merely my 2 pence worth #8211; your mileage may vary.
