Information about free philosophy will online

Making a will is something that, because of the reason why we need to do it, is something that is easily put off - yet can lead to huge problems with probate if you don't write one in time.

Writing a last will and testament (to use the proper phrase for it) isn't as complicated as it used to be, and there are now many places online why you can write a legal DIY one!

Title : The Law of Trusts
Author : John G. Riddall
Rating : 3 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Good introduction guide to Trust Law

Riddall's Trust Law is one of the simplest guide to the the subject. The words are clear, the format is structured and organized. I would recommend students of Trust Law to buy this book. However, his book is quite out-dated since the latest edition is published in 1996. Also, it lacks sufficient information of family home issues and proprietary estoppel.

Title : Understanding Living Trusts: How You Can Avoid Probate, Save Taxes and Enjoy Peace of Mind
Author : Vickie Schumacher
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Well worth reading

This book fully explaines it all. I got a trust through a lawyer and it was just as this book says. There are diagrams to show and the language is very easy to understand.

Title : Trusts and Equity (Foundation Studies in Law Series)
Author : Richard Edwards
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : It truly brings Trust law to life!

It is an excellent textbook that de-mystifies and untangles the often confusing intricacies of Trust law. This is a must for the law student who finds this area of law confusing and frightening -I found it explains concepts clearly and concisely - see especially the chapters on Express and Resulting Trusts. It explains the Vandervell cases particularly well...

Title : The Modern Law of Trusts
Author : David B. Parker
Rating : 1 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Who is this book written for?

This book is written in the style of a friendly guide to law rather than a textbook. This creates confusion as the book sets out to discuss in detail problems with trusts in the English common law but does so in a fudgy you know what I mean kind of a way. Discussion centres around conceptual, more abstract, aspects of trusts and equity but with inadequate reference to the technical nature of the law (you really need to be able to supply this for yourself). Worse still, Parker and Mellows do not address all issues relevant to law students and their tendancy to gloss over some of the more technical aspects of the law explains why their conclusions leave the reader feeling unsatisfied. I would only recommend this book to someone who has a good basic knowledge of trusts as a basis for discussion. It is not an accurate guide to the law and is likely to confuse the undergraduate and mentally damage the more general reader.

Title : Wills and Probate: How to Make a Will and How to Administer the Estate of Someone Who Has Died, with or without Employing a Solicitor (Which? Consumer Guides)
Author : Consumers' Association
Rating : 4 Stars out of 5.
Summary : General information but lacking in detail

This guide devotes 20% of its pages to writing a will and 80% to dealing with someones estate after their death. It covers all of the main areas such as inheritance tax, trusts, intestacy, guardianship, joint ownership etc. This book covers some of the differences between England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

As far as writing a will is concerned, the book provides inadequate information to do it properly by yourself but does give you all of the questions that you need to think about. As such, I would recommend this book to someone to read before seeing the solicitor.

Title : Succession: The Law of Wills and Estates (Cracknell's Statutes S.)
Author :
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Fantastic easy to read

This book is ideal for those doing a law degree. It provides easy to understand statutes which have been laid out very clear.

Title : Principles of Equity and the Law of Trusts (Principles of Law S.)
Author : Alastair Hudson
Rating : 3 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Thorough but a little careless

You certainly except a book of this size to offer a very thorough account of the subject matter. Andrew Hudson does not dissappoint in this respect, His clear knowledge and clarity are a breath of fresh air for this student who tends to find that most law books are written by reseasrchers eager to impress their friends but not to help the student. Cavendish, the publishers are the exception to this trend, and despite being unfashionable as a result are certainly gasining popularity with the undergraduate market.
Perhaps the only downside to this book, is the carelessness of teh editing. The subject matter is difficult enough without having to secong guess the writer.
The book is certainly overpriced, but the difficulty in finding readable textbooks means this must be overlooked. Go and Buy it.
